Procrastinating!!

Overcoming procrastination

Are you a procrastinator? If you have found yourself putting off important tasks repeatedly you are probably a procrastinator. The key to controlling and ultimately combating this destructive habit is to recognize when you start procrastinating, understand why it happens and take active steps to better manage yourself and outcomes.

If you are a procrastinator you may feel that you are doing the right thing by reacting fast. Or you may not even think about your approach and are simply driven by the person whose demands are loudest. You may also experience a sense of feeling overwhelmed by the task.

These are some things that manifest in the world of the procrastinator. So, what can you do to overcome them? First, its important to recognize that you are procrastinating. Second, try to understand why you are procrastinating. It can depend on both you and the task. Third, if you can’t delegate the work you need to find ways to motivate yourself to get moving.
